men's issues

Men often grow up feeling alone and isolated due to outdated beliefs, difficult social expectations, and unexpressed emotions. Yet we all need a safe, nonjudgmental place to openly talk, feel heard, and discover new ways of handling life’s issues.

Although you may initially feel hesitant in coming to counseling, this small step can provide you with an amazing opportunity to be your authentic self, find solutions to your troubles and fears, and even start to heal old, painful wounds.

Some common issues I help my male clients confront include:

  • Fear of intimacy and rejection

  • Dealing with life’s sometimes overwhelming responsibilities

  • Feelings of insecurity / inadequacy, and what it means to "be a man"

  • Handling emotions such as anger, sadness, anxiety, and depression

  • Relationship issues, including communication, sex, infidelity, and courting
